It is a real privilege to be the incoming Chair of Healthwatch Blackpool. I should like to congratulate everyone who has been involved in delivering the substantial achievements of 2015- 2016.
Special thanks to the previous Chair, Joan Rose, and her Board of Directors and the former Operational Lead, Claire Powell.
Going forward into 2016 we welcome Steven Garner as our new Operational Lead and we have a new Board of Directors.
Our aim is to continue to make health and social care better for the people of Blackpool. We aim to involve many more of you in our surveys and activities and to increase our number of volunteers. There has never been a more important time for local people to have a voice in relation to their health and social care services and for that voice to be recognised and acted upon.
