Healthwatch Blackpool is part of a network of over 150 local Healthwatch across the country. We are independent. We’re here to hear your experiences of using local health and social care services.

We recognise that it is often those closest to the process who are best placed to give useful feedback on the way services work and how they can be improved.

We provide the people of Blackpool with opportunities to share their views. We also provide an information and signposting service with the ultimate aim to promote health and care that works for you!

Information from Healthwatch

Integrated care systems from 1st July 2022

Integrated care systems, known as ICS’, will formally come into operation from the 1st of July across England. To help explain what this means and to remind you of our role as your local Healthwatch, and the role of Healthwatch Together, we’ve written the following brief article.

Youthwatch

A group of young volunteers aged 11-18 years old that work alongside Healthwatch Blackpool.

We listen to the views of children and young people locally and make sure voices are heard!

When we talk to young people about what they think of health or care, we sometimes use feedback to make reports and recommendations of how things can be better.

Healthwatch Blackpool Shortlisted For Prestegious National Award

Healthwatch Blackpool have been nominated for a prestigious national award, for exploring the reality of accessing health and care for those experiencing homelessness. This piece of work has helped shape new pathways and pilot programmes of accessing healthcare across Blackpool.
