Healthwatch Blackpool’s 2025 Extreme Weather and Climate Adaptation Report explores how extreme weather affects care home residents and staff, and how prepared local care homes are to respond. Drawing on feedback from residents, staff and managers across Blackpool, the report highlights experiences, existing measures and challenges, identifying opportunities to strengthen climate adaptation, improve resident comfort and safety, and build more resilient health and social care services.
