Healthwatch Blackpool have revisited work around lack of NHS dental availability due to receiving multiple enquiries.
We are aware of the recurring issues around dental access, both locally and nationally, hence the previous investigation into dental availability in Blackpool. We are also conscious of the strain that the COVID-19 pandemic has had in exacerbating these issues, particularly with being in another national lockdown at present. With that being said, we wanted to investigate if there has been any progression in this area since the earlier report, as we are consistently receiving enquiries around NHS dental availability in Blackpool.
