Healthwatch Blackpool is seeking local people to join their growing team of dedicated volunteers.

Healthwatch Blackpool are currently looking for local people who are interested in offering some of their time as Community Engagement Volunteers, this role would suit people who are community spirited and who would enjoy listening and gathering people’s views about health and social care in Blackpool.    We are also looking for a volunteer to work alongside the staff team to assist with the coordination of our team of volunteers.

Sheralee Turner-Birchall, Engagement Manager for Healthwatch Blackpool says:

Healthwatch Blackpool’s active group of experienced and skilled volunteers are local people who help us be the public voice for health and social care in Blackpool. Our volunteers undertake a range of activities to help us ensure that local people are listened to when it comes to health and social care and the services we all use. We have the responsibility for supporting local people to be able to get involved in examining health and social care services for themselves.  We are also required to gather feedback from individuals and communities about their experience of the health and social care services they receive.

To do this we rely on having committed volunteers as part of our team and we are currently seeking applications from people who would like to help make a difference to how health and social care across Blackpool for the future is delivered, commissioned and regulated.
