Are you someone with lived experience of respiratory conditions?
The Lancashire and South Cumbria Clinical Respiratory Network is looking to work with people living with respiratory conditions, to ensure they have a voice in changes to respiratory care in Lancs and South Cumbria.
Opportunities are available for two enthusiastic individuals, to work as paid partners on a sessional basis, working alongside health care professionals to:
· Advise how to make sure the respiratory programme puts the perspective of people using our services first
· Develop and contribute to the Respiratory Network’s plans
· Provide suggestions and recommendations of how we can improve people’s experience of services
· Champion and advocate for patients with respiratory conditions
The role is flexible, other than scheduled meetings, which are usually virtual and are agreed in advance. There will be a minimum of four, maximum of eight sessions each year.
Being a Patient and Public Voice (PPV) partner will be an enriching and fulfilling experience, giving the opportunity to inform the future of respiratory services in Lancashire and South Cumbria and contribute to improvements, learn new skill and support a cause you feel passionately about.
As these are Patient and Public Voice (PPV) partner level 4 roles, people recruited can claim an involvement fee for their participation as per policy. Rates for partners will be £75 per half day (four hours or less) including any preparation and travel time. All out of pocket expenses will also be covered. Online training will be provided.
