Healthwatch Blackpool have been working with Lancaster University with the aim of understanding what the Blackpool community think of local authority research informed initiatives.
We are aware of the value in service-users views and wanted to explore what the community think of a local authority that evaluates for the benefit of deliverable and sustainable services.
Part of this report is based on the responses of thirty-eight people in 2020 to a survey, alongside engagements with individuals and groups across the town.
Healthwatch Blackpool wanted to use an approach involving more users in identifying priority needs for Blackpool, hearing from people who access services and build a picture to represent feedback on research.
