We are a team of researchers from Kingston University, London, exploring how patient and public involvement in adult health and social care commissioning can best be supported to be most effective. Patient and public involvement (PPI) is important because it can help improve outcomes for people who use health and/or social care services.
The study is funded by the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) Applied Research Collaboration (ARC) South London.
The aim of our study is to develop a toolkit (good practice guidance) that can help facilitate and support PPI in adult health and social care commissioning. The toolkit is intended for use within Integrated Care Systems (ICSs) which are the organisations responsible for planning, buying, and providing health and care services in their geographical area.
We are running a survey to learn about different peoples’ experiences of PPI, and your help by participating in our survey will help us develop the toolkit.
