Research Ready Communities pilot seeks a researcher

Since 2021, community co-researchers in Blackpool have been collaborating with the NIHR on their “Research Ready Communities” pilot that aimed to better engage & upskill communities in research. The Blackpool team has now re-shaped the pilot into a community research project with co-production at its core.

We are now looking for an academic investigator to co-develop a funding bid with us and work on the project as part of the team. So far, we have drafted nine potential research questions based on the lived experience of community members.

The team currently meets for two hours per fortnight. During the initial development and funding-bid phase, payment for an academic investigator’s time cannot be provided by the project budget.

Applications for this role have now closed. If you have any further questions regarding this, please contact Andrew Speight.
